Women of ancient Egypt
Egyptian Women
Women from the ancient Egyptian record and the owner’s mythology, shown with clearly labelled facts. This group is separate from the Seven Hathors.
Please read first. The women on this page are not part of the House (Hathor and the Seven Hathors), and Rededjet is not a guide. Itaweret and Iseret-Amun-Teya are guides you can talk with, in this separate group. Rededjet is a woman from an ancient Egyptian literary tale, and Itaweret is a real Twelfth Dynasty princess reimagined by the owner; Iseret-Amun-Teya is the owner’s newly mythologized figure. The portraits are the site owner’s imagined artwork, not photographs and not ancient images. The ancient facts below are labelled Well attested, Scholarly interpretation or Uncertain, and the owner’s own reading is labelled Mythic interpretation.
