Chamber VI

Google Earth

Imagery observations with coordinates, notes and sacred-angle readings, plus a tool to measure distance and bearing between two places.

Placeholder intro – replace with your own words. Explain how you choose and record these observations. Reading these entries: imagery can be ambiguous, and a “sacred angle” is an interpretation laid over a measurement. Each card carries a badge showing how the author labels it. Edit this paragraph in google-earth.html.

Coordinate tool

Enter two points as decimal degrees, as latitude, longitude. Examples: 29.9792, 31.1342 or 48.8566 N, 2.3522 E. South and west are negative numbers, or use S and W. It runs in your browser and sends nothing anywhere.

These results are mathematical measurements on a spherical Earth model (mean radius 6,371 km). They are accurate to roughly half a percent for distance, compared with the real, slightly flattened Earth. They are not proof of any interpretation. A line or angle between two points can be drawn between almost any two places. Bearings are measured from true north, not magnetic north.

How to read the badges

Every claim carries one of four labels, so you always know what kind of statement you are reading.
